Trafford Live 2019 was held last Sunday and we were super pleased to be invited along to the day. Trafford Live is a free family festival where Trafford Council promotes all the great things that it has to offer. It is also an opportunity to say thank you with the Trafford Volunteer Awards. We were very pleased to be one of the companies to receive an award.
The Trafford Volunteer Awards have a variety of categories from businesses like ourselves to young volunteers and we were inspired by the amount of people who give their time and energy to make Trafford a great place to live.
We received our Trafford Volunteer Award for the work that we do supporting Trafford Primary Schools in their STEM activities. We love being a UK engineering company and we believe that in order for the UK to be prosperous then we need to inspire the next generation to follow the engineering career path. What better way than starting with out youngest people!
For the last couple of years we have worked with mini designers from age 5 upwards. We have talked to them about how important engineering is to our society and then helped them to design their own products and 3D print them. There is something exciting about watching your design come to life ….however old you are!
