If you’ve ever wondered what the PT stands for in our company name then here it is – we started our company 8 years ago as Premier Tooling Design. In fact even though we brand ourselves as PT Design our official company name is still Premier Tooling Design.

So why are we writing about this today? Well even though we know undertake a much more diverse range of CAD engineering projects , tooling design is still a major part of our workload. It is also fair to say that we are experts in it! Our engineers have over 20 years experience in the field and can design tooling for all casting industries. Having worked on the bench as pattern makers, our CAD engineers have all the knowledge and experience required to design whatever tooling is required for your casting. From simple core boxes to complex mouldpacks that require onsite support, we can be there to advise and ensure that the best tooling is produced.

We use Catia and Siemens NX CAD systems. These are industry leading, robust, high end CAD packages that allow us to produce on time quality designs. They also allow required changes to flow through the design structure.

We adapt the way we support our tooling and casting clients based on their project requirements. From onsite advice to web presentations, we ensure that keep in contact throughout the whole design process.
